Between 2 to 5% of the Burundian population identify as Muslim, according to a 2010 estimate by the United States Department of State. The same year, the Pew Research Centre estimated that there were 230,000 Muslims in Burundi, equivalent to 2.8 percent of Burundi's 8.4 million inhabitants. However, that number keeps increasing each year. Therefore, because that number of people is not negligible, convinced that it’s our mission to tell Jesus any person who doesn’t know or believe in him. UCCD has decided to commit itself to announcing the good news to Muslims.  To fulfill that noble mission, public debates with Muslims are organized to help them know Jesus because we believe that they are desperately in need of that savior.
